Galapagos travel advisor - Santa Cruz ship reviews

Galapagos Santa Cruz

The M/V Santa Cruz has been totally  remodeled, with extended decks in order to accommodate for upgraded and more spacious cabins as well as larger deck areas. The 90 passengers can choose between suites, double or single cabins, magnificently appointed and equipped. Fully carpeted and air conditioned, it is the right size cruise ship for a comfortable and relaxed vacation in the Galapagos Islands, Ecuador.

On the Boat Deck, two new luxury master suites with double beds and a private balcony, and two junior suites, have been added as well as six superior class cabins with twin beds. These new cabins, together with those previously existent, give the ship a very high standard of accommodation in comfort and style. All the cabins and bathrooms on all decks have been renovated and provide more choices among single, double, triple and quad accommodation.

New features enhance the ship's quality: a Deck-Bar; a Jacuzzi, a library, and  an observation deck for dolphin and whale watching. Of course, priority attention is given to the quality and maintenance of the ship's main engines, generators and its sophisticated navigation equipment.

Safety is a primary concern and the Santa Cruz has been certified with the highest International Classifications:ABS (American Bureau of Shipping), IMS (International Management System for the Safe operation of Ships and for pollution prevention) and SOLAS (Safety Of Life At Sea). Operations and services are maintained by a 48-person crew.

Itinerary, program, activities, flexibility, service... These have been also renovated and improved. An Excellent Itinerary will provide a most complete vision of the Galapagos main highlights within a flexible program that will allow passengers to choose between shorter or longer hikes, Zodiac cruises, glass-bottom boat, swimming activities, etc., often been able to do at least two activities on each location. The itineraries have been planned to offer the best of the archipelago in such a way to ensure the continued preservation of this unique ecosystem.
