Baltra is the only island of the Galapagos that is not part of the national park, but is navy territory. This is also the reason why there are no official visitor sites on this island. The main airport of the Galapagos Islands is located at this island. There are a few souvenir shops near the airport and there is supposed to be a bar somewhere on the island. Most people just stay long enough to take the bus to Puerto Ayora on Santa Cruz Island or to the docks to go to their cruise boat.
