7-Night: Isabela, Fernandina, Santiago, Santa Cruz & North Seymour
Set out on an unforgettable 7-night expedition through the western Galapagos aboard M/C Eminence. This immersive route visits some of the archipelago’s most remote, biologically rich, and geologically impressive destinations, including Santa Cruz, Isabela, Fernandina, Santiago, Bartolome, and North Seymour. Throughout the journey, travelers encounter giant tortoise conservation programs, dramatic lava fields, protected mangrove waterways, exceptional snorkeling locations, and major seabird nesting areas.

Day by day

Day 1: Santa Cruz Island: Baltra Airport & Fausto Llerena Breeding Center
Upon arrival at Baltra Airport, local representatives will welcome you to the Galapagos Islands and assist with your transfer to M/C Eminence. After boarding the vessel and attending an introductory briefing about the expedition, begin your exploration of Santa Cruz Island with a visit to the Fausto Llerena Breeding Center at the Charles Darwin Research Station. This internationally recognized conservation facility protects several populations of Galapagos giant tortoises and supports breeding initiatives designed to restore their numbers in the wild. Follow the educational trails while observing tortoises at different stages of life, from juveniles raised in protected areas to fully grown adults. Naturalist guides will share insights into the ecological role of these reptiles and the long-term projects helping safeguard the archipelago’s native wildlife.
Day 2: Isabela Island: Tintoreras, Sierra Negra Volcano & Arnaldo Tupiza Breeding Center
Experience the extraordinary diversity of Isabela Island, beginning at the volcanic islets of Tintoreras. Clear, shallow waters surround these dark lava formations, creating a favorable habitat for reef sharks, marine iguanas, sea turtles, sea lions, and colorful fish. When conditions allow, explore the area by snorkeling before traveling inland toward Sierra Negra Volcano. Hike through changing vegetation and volcanic terrain to reach viewpoints overlooking one of the largest calderas in the Galapagos. The immense crater and surrounding landscape provide a striking example of the geological forces that formed Isabela. Later, visit the Arnaldo Tupiza Breeding Center, where native giant tortoises are protected through carefully managed breeding, care, and repatriation programs. Observe individuals of different ages while learning about the conservation work supporting their survival.
Day 3: Isabela Island: Moreno Point & Elizabeth Bay
Day 4: Fernandina Island & Isabela Island: Espinoza Point and Vicente Roca Point
Day 5: Santiago Island: Egas Port, Buccaneer Cove & Espumilla Beach
Day 6: Bartolome Island & Santiago Island: Pinnacle Rock and Sullivan Bay
Day 7: Santiago Island & Santa Cruz Island: Chinese Hat and Dragon Hill
Day 8: North Seymour Island & Departure from Baltra Airport
