The North Seymour – Bachas Beach tour runs every Tuesday. It starts with a meeting in Puerto Ayora followed by a bus ride to the Itabaca Channel. There, guests board the Galaxy Skape. The day includes a visit to North Seymour Island, where large colonies of footed boobies and frigate birds live. After that, there is time at Bachas Beach on Santa Cruz Island.
After the North Seymour experience and lunch aboard the boat, guests make a landing at Bachas. They can snorkel, swim, and walk along the shore. Watch for wildlife. Behind the beach, a saltwater lagoon attracts blue herons and small birds. The area’s large and small beaches are grounds for green sea turtles.
Snorkeling offers chances to see reef fish, various rays and other marine species. Later, the tour returns through the Itabaca Channel to Puerto Ayora.
